We currently have a vacancy for a 4-year PhD position starting on 01.03.2025.

Your tasks
- Implementation and evaluation of a project on ‘virtual reality-based exercise training’ with inpatients with depressive disorders
- Operational project management and interface function with the two partner clinics in the Basel area
- Recruitment and information of study participants
- Data collection, data management and data analysis
- Co-development of the intervention programme
- Training and supervision of research assistants and Master's students to support the implementation of the intervention programme and data collection
- Monitoring the implementation of the programme
- Writing scientific publications in internationally recognised journals as part of a cumulative dissertation
- Participation in national and international conferences
- Teaching tasks and supervision of Master's and Bachelor's theses
- Tasks in academic self-administration

Your profile
- Completed Master's degree in sports science, health science or psychology
- Experience in empirical research (especially quantitative research, with a simultaneous interest in qualitative process evaluation)
- Outgoing personality with good communication skills and willingness to work in a larger team
- Good knowledge of statistical methods, good German and English language skills and high self-motivation
- Willingness to work in a clinical setting and to interact with patients with mental disabilities
