Céline Stark has been a PhD candidate in the Psychosocial Health and Physical Activity (PsyHPA) research group  since January 2025 and has served as study course administrator of the CAS Personal Health Coach since August 2022 at the Department of Sport, Exercise and Health (DSBG). She holds a Bachelor’s and Master’s degree in Sport, Exercise and Health with a specialization in Prevention and Health Promotion from the University of Basel and a Certificate in Personal Health Coaching from SalutaCoach AG. From June 2021 to December 2024, she also worked as a Personal Health Coach at SalutaCoach AG, where she gained extensive practical experience in supporting sustainable health behavior change.

Her research focuses on how individuals can be effectively supported in developing and maintaining a healthier lifestyle. She is particularly interested in the promotion of health-related behaviors, with a focus on physical activity, nutrition, sleep, and stress management. A central aim of her work is to understand how evidence-based interventions can be designed to support sustainable behavior change in everyday life.

As part of her doctoral research within the PACOUTPAT project, Céline Stark investigates physical activity and lifestyle coaching for individuals with depressive disorders. Her work explores how interest- and experience-based coaching approaches can influence exercise behavior, depressive symptoms, and health-related quality of life. In addition, she is involved as a coaching trainer and supervisor in the NOW! project and contributes to the ActivitySnippets project at the University of Applied Sciences Niederrhein. Across these projects, she is engaged in the development, implementation, and scientific evaluation of practical approaches to promoting a health-oriented lifestyle.

Since August 2022, she has been working in the administration of the CAS Personal Health Coach study course at DSBG, where she contributes to the coordination and continuous development of the continuing education program. She also teaches in the CAS Personal Health Coach in the areas of behavior change and coaching. In collaboration with Zoë Holland-Cunz, she will further contribute her expertise in behavior change to the DSBG teaching curriculum from September 2026 onwards as part of the seminar “Developing a Physically Active Lifestyle.”
