I am a PhD candidate in Sport Science, with a background in Nutritional Science. My current research is part of the KaziAfya project. In my PhD, I investigate the effects of a school-based health intervention (including increased physical activity and multi-micronutrient supplementation) on nutritional status, cognitive function and soil-transmitted helminth infections, and associated risk factors. My PhD project includes three data assessments across a 2-year period in three African countries (Côte d’Ivoire, South Africa, Tanzania) with about 1000 primary school children (grade 1-4) in each county.
